报告内容:

This seminar will illustrate the activities of the Maha Fluid Power Research Center of Purdue University. The Maha Fluid Power Research Center (Maha) is a Purdue’s University approved Research Center fully dedicated to fluid power research and education. Maha’s activities encompass both fundamental areas of fluid power research as well as applied technology transfer. The center has a almost equally split support from industry and government agencies. After providing an overview of the Maha research facilities, the seminar will provide specific examples on the main research topics carried out in the lab. These topics are in line with the current technology trends related to pump development, off-road and on-road applications.

Particular focus will be given to the capabilities of the lab to perform multi-physics pump simulations, advanced experiments as well as on conceiving original hydraulic control actuation systems. The seminar will also touch some aspects related to the recent electrification trend affecting several off-road vehicles.

The final part of the seminar will highlight the most recent developments in the educational tools used at Purdue to educate fluid power students at both graduate and undergraduate levels.


专家简介:

Andrea Vacca 教授是美国普渡大学著名的Maha 流体动力研究中心主任。他在高性能液压元件和电液混合液压动力系统等多方面建树颇丰,主持多项国家级科研项目,发表学术论文120余篇,同时还与液压企业联系紧密,许多著名的工程/农业机械公司如Caterpillar、John Deere 均和他领导的Maha实验室展开了先行研发合作。

Andrea Vacca 教授历任: SAE 流体动力研究区主席、NSF工程研究中心重要成员、ASME 流体动力系统与技术分部(FPST)联席主席、国际流体动力学报《International Journal of Fluid Power》主编、《Energies》客座主编;曾获包括 IMechE-Donald Julius Groen 奖在内的多项学术奖项。
